I'm Jared Matthews, I live for the outdoors and wild places. I am an Operations Manager and part owner of an Electrical and Mechanical firm in North East Victoria.
What I enjoy about the outdoors:
Most of all I enjoy seeing completely wild places and animals that some will never experience, Being deep in the Victorian high country feels like home to me.
Favourite piece of clothing:
Its hard to pick one but I am really enjoying the new performance range, I have taken it through some tough country and it has with stood the test.
Advice for new hunters:
Never try to short cut the learning process, Take the time to learn the game you intend to hunt and enjoy the journey.
Best hunting experience:
I have a few favorites and i think its impossible to pick just one. However a highlight was spending a month in Western Alaska and harvesting a record book bull moose.
Favourite game recipe:
A super simple one but my favourite.
Venison steaks sliced thin, whisk a couple of eggs and milk with a fork, dip the steaks in the egg wash, dip the steaks in Master Foods garlic and herb schnitzel bread crumbs. Heat up a pan with some oil for a shallow fry and once the oil is hot in go the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side. Serve with mash and veg
