Ridgeline FAQ
How do I wash a waterproof jacket?
- If the coat is dirty/muddy wait until the coat is dry and brush off any loose mud or dirt.
- Wash the coat on the correct temperature (please see clothing label)
- Hang to air dry.
Is Ridgeline clothing 100% waterproof?
Yes! Our waterproof jackets are built to keep you dry in wet, harsh outdoor conditions - not just showers. We combine weatherproof fabrics with fully taped seams so rain, wind and moisture stay out while you're out on the trail, on the farm or just getting through a wet commute.
Can I wear a waterproof jacket in warmer weather, or is it just for winter?
Yes - waterproof outerwear isn't only a cold-weather layer. A lightweight waterproof shell is useful in spring and summer storms too, and works as an outer layer over lighter clothing when temperatures rise, or over insulation when they drop.
Why is Ridgeline's clothing designed with unpredictable weather in mind?
Ridgeline was born in the foothills of New Zealand in 1994, where weather can swing from sun to storm in a single day. That environment shaped the brand's founding philosophy: build outdoor clothing tough enough to handle sudden rain, wind and temperature swings without missing a beat. That same standard still guides every collection we design.
